Cave & Crag Climbing / Caving

Hi, I am Chris Haines, the current Caving meets secretary for the cave and crag.
My role is to facilitate the smooth running of the clubs trips and to deal with the administration of the caving side of the club.

This includes working out a suitable programme of trips for the 12 month period, booking access to specific caves, press ganging members into running the weekends, booking accommodation and cave leaders where required and ensuring the weekends run smoothly, even if I can’t attend myself.

On the administration side, I coordinate the third party liability insurance run by the BCA, ensure our membership of associate bodies is kept up to date, I also ensure any adverts in magazines or publications is correct.
I am also the point of contact for prospective new cavers and will always look to find suitable trips for them to go on.

The cavers in the club are a friendly bunch, who also enjoy the social side of caving, which is important for building a good team.
All caving trips are coordinated through the caving section of the clubs message board, so please keep an eye on this for any updates and to book onto trips.
